Camp Impact

We provide two unique camp experiences for children in need:

Day Camp - Local Camps at our Suffolk Corps and Community Center & Kroc Hampton Roads
Each day, campers participate in a balanced schedule of educational enrichment, creative arts, recreation, character-building activities, and social-emotional learning. Children receive nutritious meals and caring supervision while developing confidence, teamwork, and positive relationships with peers and mentors. For many families, the program also fills a critical gap by providing dependable childcare and preventing summer learning loss. Beyond traditional camp experiences, Salvation Army Day Camp focuses on whole-child development—encouraging respect, responsibility, and resilience while helping youth discover their unique talents and potential.

Rappahannock - Camp and Retreat Center
Located in the scenic heart of Virginia, Camp Rappahannock is a vibrant summer destination where adventure, community, and faith come alive. For generations, campers have discovered unforgettable experiences here—experiences that ignite confidence, inspire growth, and draw young people closer to God. At Camp Rappahannock, kids step away from screens and step into creation, exploring the outdoors in ways that spark wonder and deepen their sense of purpose. Whether they’re hiking wooded trails, paddling the river, scaling the climbing wall, or sharpening their aim at the archery range, campers are surrounded by opportunities to try new things and thrive.
